Terry has been a commercial, journalistic, and art photographer for nearly 40 years. As a commercial photographer, he has worked with international, national, regional, and local accounts in all media, and his work has appeared on numerous trade publication covers. He has also worked for several South Carolina newspapers as a general reporter and photographer.
He has taught photography at Winthrop University, York Technical College, and the Museum of York County in Rock Hill, South Carolina; as well as at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Beyond his commercial and studio portraiture experience, Terry has photographed archival (large format) black & white film images and digital images of South Carolina’s shorelines from lakes, rivers, ponds, and the coastal area. He also has created a substantial body of work with abstract images.
His work has been showcased at over 30 exhibitions and of his work is on display in private collections.
